Journal of Global Buddhism

Journal of Global Buddhism

An entirely online publication, the Journal of Global Buddhism was instituted in 2000 “to promote the study of the globalization of Buddhism, both historical and contemporary, and its transnational and transcontinental interrelatedness.”

The JGB’s primary subjects of consideration include:

  1. Historical Studies
  2. Transnational Studies
  3. Issues in the Development of Buddhist Traditions
  4. Case Studies and Biographical Studies
  5. Survey Results and Their Interpretation
  6. Research Bibliographies
  7. Theoretical and Methodological Studies

You can browse their list of contributing authors here.

The JBE’s archives were used to construct the following table of 187 articles, special issues, discussions, critical notes, review essays, and book reviews published from 2000 through 2018. The table is easily searched to find relevant to items of interest.

Any column in the table can be easily resorted, thus reordering the entire table.

Up to 100 items may be displayed at a time.
